I want to use the group buy app- how does payment processing from users work? Also, if the # is not hit for the group buy to go through, are users credited back for their purchase, or does the transaction not get processed until the # is reached?
Hi Tara,With Wildfire's Group Deal app, the administrator of the deal syncs up his PayPal merchant account with the Wildfire campaign builder, so that all user payments go directly into the merchant account. If you do not have a merchant account, you can upgrade to one from a standard PayPal account by following a few upgrade steps that PayPal outlines for you.
Additionally, the payment process is similar to putting down your credit card at a hotel, or when you rent a car-- a payment gets "authorized," and held by PayPal at the time that you claim the deal, but no money transfer gets made until the deal activates. If the deal never activates, the "held" money is released and no charges ever get made. If the deal does go through, the amount gets transferred from the customer to the admin.

Hope that helps!
